The Christ the King Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body acting in an advisory capacity to the Pastor of Christ the King Parish. Together with the Pastor, the Pastoral Council promotes the following of Jesus, Son of God, our Savior. The Parish Pastoral Council is created by the Constitution of the Parish, accepted by our Pastor and the Most Reverend Elden Francis Curtiss as of February 17, 2004.
The mission of the Board of Education is to ensure the propagation of the faith and to provide a comprehensive and academically challenging education in the Five-Day School and the Religious Education Program at Christ the King Parish. The Board will promote the highest quality of religious and academic experience to all students in a Catholic environment that fosters faith-sharing and the growth and development of Christian values within the whole person.
The Board of Education is a policy making body and has as its primary duty the formulation of policy for matters pertaining to education, health and safety at the Christ the King Parish Five-Day School and Religious Education Program including the giving of advice and approval to any material changes in the direction of education and the operation of these programs. Meetings are held monthly and all parishioners are invited to attend.
The Educational Trust was established in 1979 to provide, by means of an educational fund, long-range supplementary funds for the continuation and development of Total Catholic Education within the parish.
The Trust is a legal entity, an arm of the parish corporation. It is an agency and/or instrumentality of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese. Gifts to the Trust are deductible for income tax purposes and income to the Trust is tax exempt. The purpose of the Trust is to accumulate a pool of funds. The net income and unrestricted principal will be used annually for programs of Catholic Education. A Board of Trustees, made up of 18 Parish members plus the pastor of Christ the King Church controls the Trust.
The Trust welcomes your investment in Total Catholic education. Your gift may be in cash, stocks or bonds, real estate, life insurance, annuities, or personal property. Or, you many very simply include the Trust in your will and testament.
Your investment in Catholic education is an investment in people, from their earliest years through adulthood: education in the message of Jesus, and education in the service of God and man.
