Please join us for the 55th Annual Christ the King Sports Banquet to be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Christ the King Parish Center.

Our featured speaker will be Coach Scott Frost. After winning the Orange Bowl and a share of 1997 National Championship, Frost was selected in the 3rd round in the 1998 NFL Draft and played 6 seasons in the NFL. We witnessed his incredible success as a head coach at University of Central Florida where he finished 2017 regular season undefeated in AAC and won the 2018 Peach Bowl. The quick turnaround at Central Florida resulted in numerous coaching awards including the 2017 Associated Press Coach of the Year. When Coach Frost arrived at Nebraska, he immediately changed the mindset of his new team. In 2018, the Cornhuskers demonstrated a new focus on “team”, toughness, and perseverance. This new mindset and confidence was best summarized when Coach Frost warned that, “Other teams better get us now because we are just going to keep getting better.”

We are also excited to announce that our 2019 Athletic Achievement Award Recipient will be Josh Dotzler. Josh was the starting point guard at Creighton University from 2005-2009. He graduated from Creighton with a Public Relations degree in 2009. Since graduating, he has become Executive Pastor for Bridge Church and the CEO of ABIDE. Josh has been deeply committed to helping and supporting growth North Omaha neighborhoods.
