I was born and raised in Kansas. My husband, a Nebraska native, and I recently moved to Omaha. Music, church music in particular, has been my interest for many years.

I take great delight in the sound of prayer and song offered by the assembly of the baptized during worship. This is one of the ways Christ is made present to us. It is an honor to be tasked with nurturing congregational song. I also treasure choral music and have a deep appreciation for the service of prayer and beauty that choirs offer. I look forward to cultivating a joy-filled community of adult, youth, and children’s choirs at Christ the King.

Most recently, I served as associate director of sacred music at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic parish in Leawood, Kansas. At St. Michael, I directed rehearsals and music theory classes for children enrolled in the choir school program, prepared cantors and accompanists for weekend liturgies, and collaborated with the director of music in music planning and directing the parish choirs.

I received a Bachelor of Music degree from Wichita State University, a Master of Sacred Music degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a Doctor in Musical Arts degree from the University of Kansas.
